New Inn Community Survey 2022

We’ve created a new survey with 3 aims, all with the objective of helping the Management Committee to define the strategy for the next 5 years, increasing revenue and enabling us to better make the most of our status as a community-owned business:

  1. Gain feedback on the Shareholders’ view of what NCLP (The New Inn and Community Shop) should be aiming to deliver as a Community asset and which individual services, events and approaches would deliver on this.
  2. Understanding why The New Inn currently receives the custom of only a relatively small number of the local Shareholder base and community
  3. Understanding what the Management Committee need to put in place to change this

New Inn Pub Survey 2018

There’s still a chance to have your say!

We launched the annual pub survey back in November 2018 by including it in the Norton Lindsey Parish Newsletter, but have had reports that a number of people didn’t receive it, so have decided to extend the period for responses.

Please download the form HERE and either complete it on screen (PLEASE SAVE IT BEFORE CLOSING – IF YOU COMPLETE ON SCREEN), or print it out and return it to us through one of the means described on the form

New Inn Norton Lindsey Awarded Cask Marque

We’re pleased to announce that the New Inn has recently been awarded Cask Marque Status – The Independent Award for pubs serving great quality cask ale

Since 1997 Cask Marque has been ensuring that the cask ale you drink in pubs in the UK has been in perfect condition. Their 45 qualified assessors make over 20,000 visits to pubs each year in England, Scotland, Wales, Europe and even America to check the temperature, appearance, aroma and taste of Britain’s favourite drink. Visit a Cask Marque accredited pub and you are guaranteed to receive a great pint of cask ale.

New Pub Manager

We have a new ‘temporary’ Pub Manager. Please pop into the New Inn and say hello to welcome Danny Storer, who will be looking after proceedings whilst we search for a new permanent Manager to take over from Steve Hay. We’d like to thank Steve for all his help in getting the ‘new’ New Inn established and wish him well in his future endeavours.

Shareholder LiaIson

Message to all Shareholders –

I am pleased to advise you that I have been co-opted to be responsible for ‘shareholder liaison’. I will be responsible for a number of activities but I will also provide a conduit for your comments, ideas and criticisms, all of which will be treated in the strictest of confidence. You may email me on shareholders@nlcp.ltd.

We are now 2 months into our exciting new village venture the ‘NEW INN’. I am pleased to report that progress to date has been very positive and in particular trading is ahead of the budget set out in our business plan. Nonetheless challenges remain, not least in our efforts to open a village shop although we hope these will soon be overcome.

In the meantime we look forward to your continued support.
